This is an open beta of Hellmaker version 1.2. Please be very careful using this software. IT IS A BETA. It is not a fully tested release, so expect some bugs. In particular, make sure you save often and have a backup copy of any wad you're working on.

Please report any bugs (using the BUG REPORT FORM included) you find that are not mentioned in this file. Without bug reports, I can't fix problems.

Please do not distribute this software, or make available for distribution by any means, including the World Wide Web. The final release will be allowed to be distributed freely.

This beta package includes a preliminary version of the 1.2 manual. It is not complete. A complete manual for version 1.2 will be included with the final release.

New Features in v1.2:

Please refer to the preliminary manual included.

Operating Differences from v1.1:

The nodes builder now works well. I recommend you leave it turned on now. You may have to use the 'General Preferences' panel to turn it on if it was previously off.

Tag numbers are no longer shown by default. To enable the display of tag numbers, use the 'General Preferences' panel.

Selection of elements has changed slightly. In particular, clicking on something that is already selected will not cause everything else to become de-selected. This makes moving stuff a lot easier.

Hellmaker's recommended memory partition has increased again. It's now 3.5MB. It should still function with less memory. Some of the new features can be disabled (or will be automatically disabled) if HellMaker's partition size is smaller than recommended. A larger partition size may be necessary for very large maps.

Known Bugs in v1.2 beta 2:

Every time new map window is opened, there is slightly less free memory.

No other bugs were known at the time of this release.
